Students’ participation for a democratic and participative society: a background analysis

As a part of preparation for future policy engagement, the “Start the change – creating a generation of change makers through intercultural education and volunteering” (STC) project, led by Forum for Freedom in Education, published the paper “Students’ participation: Policy and Practice to Start the Change”.

To enlighten the importance of students’ voice in education, NEPC explored students’ participation on school and education level, while Sirius Network explored students’ participation from the policy making and policy implementation perspective.

The study shows how participation fosters the conditions for a democratic and participative society. The full paper is available here.
